Sea Spirit | Ponce Inlet Deep Sea Fishing near Daytona Beach
The Sea Spirit calls itself the longest-running deep sea fishing boat in the Daytona Beach area, and at 65 feet it’s also one of the biggest, making it a go-to for Ponce Inlet deep sea fishing. The family-owned boat sails from Sea Love Marina in Ponce Inlet, is U.S. Coast Guard inspected and certified, and carries up to 50 anglers on half-day and full-day bottom fishing trips.
Trips and Prices
- Half day (5 hours): 7:00 AM to noon on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus afternoon half days (1 to 6 PM) in summer, usually starting June 1. Fishes 10 to 15 miles out in 60 to 80 feet of water. $80 for adults, $70 for ages 3 to 16.
- Full day (9 hours): 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Runs 20 to 30 miles offshore to 80 to 100+ feet. $115 for adults, $95 for ages 3 to 16.
- Seasonal red snapper trips: special 9-hour trips during the federal red snapper season.
Reservations are required and are taken online only, not by phone. Guests under 18 must be with a paying adult. Sea Spirit also offers ash-scattering services at sea.
What You’ll Catch
This is bottom fishing on the reefs. Target species include mangrove, mutton, lane and vermilion snapper, triggerfish, sea bass, amberjack, cobia, king mackerel, flounder, porgies, and gag, black and red grouper.
What’s Included
Rods, reels and tackle, your FWC fishing license and an air-conditioned cabin are included. Your fish are kept on ice on a numbered stringer during the trip, and the crew cleans and fillets your catch back at the dock. Parking is free.
