Hubbard’s Marina | Madeira Beach Deep Sea & Long Range Fishing

Hubbard’s Marina has run Madeira Beach deep sea fishing trips from John’s Pass since 1928, and four generations of the same family still own and operate it. From the dock in John’s Pass Village, the fleet offers everything from a five-hour family outing to multi-day long-range trips 100 miles or more into the Gulf of Mexico, making it one of the widest menus of party boat trips on Florida’s west coast.

Trips and Prices

Prices are per person:

5-hour day trip: $84.95 adults 12 to 64, $76.46 seniors 65+, $44.95 ages 3 to 11. Departs 8 am and 1 pm, fishes 9 to 12 miles out in 30 to 50 feet of water.
5-hour trophy shark trip: $180, 5 to 10 miles out.
10-hour all-day trip: $139.95 adults, $125.96 seniors, $69.95 ages 3 to 11, 15 to 20 miles out with 6 to 7 hours of fishing.
12-hour night trip: $184.95 (ages 12+), 25 to 35 miles out for mangrove snapper.
12-hour Extreme trip on the Flying HUB 2: $399 plus tax, 70 to 100 miles out.
39-hour overnight trip: $499 plus tax, 70 to 100 miles out with about 20 hours of fishing and a two-day bag limit.
44-hour full moon trip: $599 plus tax, 100 to 120 miles out with about 25 hours of fishing.

Active-duty military, seniors 65+ and AAA members get 10% off regular trips (not specialty trips), and groups of 10 or more can ask about group rates. Plan to arrive 45 to 60 minutes early for check-in.

What to Expect On Board

Cut squid is included with every ticket, and live shrimp, gloves and other extras can be bought before departure. Rental rods with hook, line and sinkers cost $9.95 on the 5-hour trip and $19.95 on longer trips, or you can bring your own tackle. You can pack your own food, buy cash-only items from the galley, or add a meal package. The party boats are licensed for well over 100 passengers, but Hubbard’s caps regular trips at about 70 anglers. Overnight trips include a bunk for every guest and hot showers; bring your own bedding.

What You’ll Catch

Shorter trips target mangrove (gray) snapper, porgies, black sea bass and hogfish. Longer runs add red grouper, gag grouper, red snapper and amberjack, with kingfish and mahi-mahi possible on the troll. The shark trip is built around big trophy sharks. Federal and state seasons apply, so check what’s open for your dates.

Hubbard’s private charter team can book the right boat for groups from 1 to 120 people, with food and beverage packages and trophy or tournament add-ons available.
