Capt. Anderson's Marina | Panama City Beach Deep Sea Fishing
Capt. Anderson’s Marina is one of the best-known names in Panama City Beach deep sea fishing. The Anderson family has fished these waters since the early 1900s; Capt. Charlie Anderson started running party boats in 1935, and the marina has been on Grand Lagoon since the 1950s. Still family-owned and operated, it sails a fleet of Capt. Anderson boats from 5550 N Lagoon Drive, where you’ll also find Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant, a dockside bar and grill and Shell Island dolphin tours.
Deep Sea Fishing Trips
- 5-hour morning: 7:00 AM to noon. $85 per fishing spot.
- 6-hour: 8 AM to 2 PM in spring, 9 AM to 3 PM in summer and fall. $95.
- 8-hour night: 4:00 PM to midnight, from June 1 through the end of snapper season. $110.
- 10-hour: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. $145.
- 12-hour: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on select summer days, heading farther into the Gulf. $165.
- 18-hour offshore: occasional limited-load trips departing at midnight. $400 including tax.
A 5-hour afternoon trip is also on the schedule, and the days each trip runs change with the season, so check the calendar when you book. Non-fishing riders can come along for $40 to $75 depending on the trip, but riders must be booked by phone and need a paid fishing spot in the group. Private charter boats are available for smaller groups.
What You’ll Catch
Shorter trips work the nearshore reefs for snapper, triggerfish and mackerel, while the longer runs add grouper, amberjack and king mackerel. The 18-hour trip targets red snapper, gag grouper, greater amberjack and triggerfish in deeper water.
What’s Included
Trips include rods and reels, bait and your fishing license, and the deckhands help with baiting, reeling in and cleaning your fish. On the longer offshore trips, a full galley is available (cash only).
