Searching for a West Palm Beach fishing charter that works for a solo angler or a private group? Bulldog Fishing Charters runs two boats out of Safe Harbor New Port Cove Marina in Riviera Beach, just inside the Palm Beach Inlet. Both boats carry up to six anglers, and trips can be booked as a shared, pay-per-seat outing or as a fully private charter. The crew brings a combined 35-plus years of experience on Palm Beach County waters and tailors every trip to the group aboard, from first-timers to seasoned anglers.

The Bulldog Fleet

Bulldog is a 36-foot Downeast-style boat with a wide 12-foot beam and a deep keel, which makes her a steady, comfortable fishing platform when the ocean gets bumpy. A single 375 hp John Deere diesel gets you to the grounds quickly, and a large forward cabin gives everyone a dry place to sit on the run out and back. There is seating on deck and inside, plus a toilet on board. Bulldog is the boat for shared drift trips and family-friendly private charters.

Bulldog II is a 32-foot SeaVee center console powered by twin 375 hp supercharged Mercury Verado outboards. With a 24-degree deadrise for a smoother ride, a 9.5-foot beam and open deck space that lets anglers fish all the way around the boat, she’s built for light-tackle sportfishing and covering ground fast. She also has a toilet on board. Bulldog II runs private charters only.

West Palm Beach Fishing Charter Options

  • Half-day shared charter (4 hours): buy a seat and drift fish the wrecks and reefs off the Palm Beaches for snapper, grouper and other bottom species. Individuals are welcome, so it’s a good fit for solo travelers or anyone who doesn’t need the whole boat.
  • Half-day private charter (4 hours): the boat is yours. Choose between trolling offshore for mahi-mahi and sailfish, bottom fishing the reefs and wrecks, or splitting the trip between both.
  • 6-hour private charter: available on Bulldog II for groups who want more time on the water.
  • Full-day private charter (8 hours): a full day offshore with the same choose-your-own approach to trolling, bottom fishing or a mix.

Evening trips can be arranged on request.

Departure Times

  • Morning trip: 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Afternoon trip: 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
  • 8-hour trip: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

What You Can Catch on a West Palm Beach Fishing Charter

Bottom fishing over the area’s wrecks and reefs produces snapper, grouper and a mix of other good-eating species. Offshore trolling targets the Palm Beach sportfishing favorites: mahi-mahi, wahoo and sailfish. The Gulf Stream runs close to shore along this stretch of coast, so deep blue water is a short ride from the inlet.
