Sailors Choice | Key Largo Party Boat Fishing
Sailors Choice is a family-owned party boat that has offered Key Largo party boat fishing since 2003. It sails from the marina next to the Holiday Inn at 99701 Overseas Highway, a short run from the reefs off Key Largo. The 65-foot custom aluminum boat is Coast Guard certified for up to 49 passengers, which makes it a good fit for families, groups and first-time anglers.
Trips and Times
- Daily 4-hour reef trips: 9 am and 1:30 pm, year-round
- Night fishing (4.5 hours): Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm
Online booking for the daily trip was about $85 for adults 13 and up and about $48 for children 12 and under at the time of writing; check the booking page for current fares. Check in at the ticket booth in front of the marina 15 minutes before departure. Private charters and gift certificates are also available.
What’s Included
Rods, reels, bait, tackle and your fishing license are all included. The crew helps with baiting, gives pointers to beginners and cleans and fillets your catch at the end of the trip. The boat has a spacious fishing deck, a covered shaded seating area and clean, modern restrooms. Food isn’t included, but you’re welcome to bring your own, and soda and water are sold on board. Tips for the crew are appreciated.
What You’ll Catch
Trips target grouper, snapper, porgies and barracuda on the Key Largo reefs. Depending on the season, cobia, mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, sailfish and amberjack can show up too. You can keep your catch for dinner or release it.
