Cora Beth Fishing is a strong pick for Key West party boat fishing if you’d rather not fish shoulder to shoulder. The owner-operated, 60-foot Cora Beth II has room for about 50 anglers at the rail, but public trips are capped at 35 and the full-day trip carries even fewer, which means more elbow room and far fewer tangled lines. The boat docks at 230 Margaret Street, C Dock Slip #5, in the heart of Key West, and runs reef, sunset and full-day trips for anglers of every age and skill level.
Daily Fishing Trips
- Daily 5-Hour Reef Fishing: the most popular trip, fishing reefs within 15 miles of Key West in 20 to 160 feet of water. $75 for adults (13 and up) and $60 for kids 12 and under, with bait and tackle included.
- Sunset Snapper Fishing: a 4-hour trip that fishes like the half-day run but ends with a Key West sunset on the water. Offered during Daylight Saving Time, from $64.
- Full Day Fishing Safari: 10 hours, heading 30+ miles out to fish 20 to 300 feet of water for bigger snapper and grouper. From $140, with a smaller passenger load than the shorter trips.
Private Charters and Special Trips
Groups can book the whole Cora Beth II, which works well for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, company outings and family reunions.
- Half-Day Private Charter: 4 hours, departing at 8 AM or 1 PM (or as a sunset charter), from $1,350.
- Full-Day Private Charter: 8+ hours, departing between 7 and 9 AM, from $2,150.
- Laid-Back 2-Hour Sunset Charter: an easygoing evening on the calm water of Key West Harbor and nearby protected channels, from $700 for up to 40 guests.
- Memorial at Sea: a 2-hour evening trip to honor a loved one, from $650.
What You’ll Catch
Reef trips target yellowtail, mangrove, lane and mutton snapper, and red, black and gag grouper are common catches too. The full-day safari’s longer run and deeper water give you a better shot at larger snapper and grouper.
