Double Eagle Deep Sea Fishing | Clearwater Beach Party Boats Since 1967
Double Eagle Deep Sea Fishing has been sailing from Clearwater Beach since 1967, making it one of the area’s longest-running choices for Clearwater Beach deep sea fishing. The family-owned fleet is run by Sandy and RoseAnn Haggert with their son, Capt. Chad Haggert, and docks at the Clearwater Municipal Marina, an easy drive from Tampa and St. Petersburg.
The Boats
Both boats are U.S. Coast Guard safety certified and carry modern electronics, a full galley and clean, modern restrooms. The galley serves breakfast and lunch items plus soft drinks and beer.
- Double Eagle III: runs the half-day trips and has an air-conditioned cabin. Up to 100 passengers on private charters.
- Double Eagle II: runs the full-day trips. Up to 75 passengers on private charters.
Dolphins are a common sight on the ride out.

- Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Tickets are $69 for adults and $39 for children 6 to 12, plus $7 if you rent a rod.
Full-Day Trips (Double Eagle II)

What’s Included
Fares include sales tax and a $1 bait fee, and no separate fishing license is required. Military discounts are available with proof of service. Bringing live or frozen shrimp improves your odds at mangrove snapper and hogfish.
What You’ll Catch
Half-day and full-day trips catch plenty of grunts, porgies and sea bass, and the 8-hour trips add mangrove snapper, hogfish and the occasional red grouper. Gag grouper are caught too but can only be kept during their open season.
Private Charters
Private charters are available with or without the galley: a half day on the Double Eagle III is $2,500 for up to 100 people, and full-day (9-hour) charters are $4,250 on the Double Eagle III or $3,750 on the Double Eagle II, with extra hours at $200. Holiday and spring weekends carry a seasonal surcharge.
