Reward Fishing Fleet | Miami Deep Sea Fishing from Bayside Marketplace
The Reward Fleet has been running Miami deep sea fishing trips for decades from Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami, just minutes from the open ocean and South Beach. Its crews have set several fishing world records, and the fleet’s Coast Guard-inspected boats run everything from walk-on half-day trips to specialty deep-drop and jigging runs and private charters.
The Boats
- Another Reward: the flagship party boat, 70 feet long and 22 feet wide, with air conditioning, a galley, TV and stereo, and up-to-date fish-finding electronics. It carries up to 50 anglers and runs the daily scheduled trips as well as group and corporate charters.
- Reward Won: a party boat used for the fleet’s specialty long-range trips.
- Legacy: a sportfishing boat for smaller private charters.
Half-Day Trips
Half-day trips run three times a day:
- Morning: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Afternoon: 1:45 PM to 5:30 PM
- Night: 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM
Trips are $85 per person, with discounts for South Florida residents (Miami-Dade and Broward). Tackle and cut bait are provided, and live bait is available for purchase. Expect bottom fish like snapper, grouper and amberjack, plus kingfish and the chance at pelagics such as sailfish and tuna.
Full-Day Saturday Trips
On Saturdays only, the fleet runs an open-boat full-day trip from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for up to 15 anglers. Tackle, cut bait and live bait are included, and the target list covers amberjack, grouper and snapper on the bottom plus mahi, kingfish, sailfish and tuna.
Specialty and Private Charters
Specialty trips include vertical jigging and “Iron Man” deep-drop runs for black, gag and Warsaw grouper, amberjack, almaco jack, wahoo, big bonito and blackfin tuna, for groups of up to 20. The fleet also books bachelor parties, corporate outings, kid-friendly trips and private charters.
What You Might Catch
Cobia, mutton, mangrove and yellowtail snapper, grouper, amberjack, kingfish, Spanish mackerel, bonito, blue runners, mahi-mahi, sailfish, wahoo and blackfin and yellowfin tuna all turn up off Miami depending on the season.
Before You Go

- Parking: the Bayside garage is $5 if you enter before 10 AM and leave before 6 PM
- Wear: rubber-soled shoes (no flip-flops or heels), a hat and sunscreen; long sleeves help with the sun
- Seasickness: take medication at least an hour before departure, and call the night before for a sea-conditions forecast
- Gratuity: an 18% gratuity is added for parties of five or more, so book large groups together
