Salty Goat Fishing Charters | Key West Reef Fishing Party Boat
Salty Goat Fishing Charters is a small, easygoing party boat for Key West reef fishing, sailing every morning from the Galleon Marina at 619 Front Street in downtown Key West. The 50-foot Salty Goat is a U.S. Coast Guard-inspected head boat (a 1994 Markley restored in 2017 and powered by a 400-horsepower turbo diesel), and it’s set up for anglers of every age, from first-timers to regulars.
Public Party Boat Trip
The shared trip runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, giving you five hours on the water off Key West.
- Adults: $85
- Military, police, fire and EMS: $75
- Children 12 and under: $70
Rates include tax. Check in by 8:30 AM, because the boat leaves the Galleon dock promptly at 9:00 and doesn’t wait for latecomers. Public trips need at least 10 passengers to sail.
Private Charters
You can book the whole boat for a corporate outing, a bachelor or bachelorette party, a wedding group or a family gathering. Private charters have a five-hour minimum and start at $2,100 plus gratuity, with a 50% deposit. Booking at least 14 days ahead is recommended.
What You’ll Catch
Trips target mutton, yellowtail and mangrove snapper; black, gag and red grouper; amberjack, mackerel and the occasional shark. The crew fishes light tackle on the bottom and also flat-lines baits for fish higher in the water.
