Olin Marler Charters | Destin Harbor Fishing Charters, 50+ Years

Olin Marler Charters bills itself as Destin’s oldest and longest-running recreational fishing fleet, with more than 50 years in business and around 3,000 trips a year. Founded by one of Destin’s founding families, the Marlers, it’s a dependable pick for Destin Harbor fishing charters, sailing from 102 Harbor Blvd with what it calls the largest fishing fleet on the Emerald Coast.

The Boats

Fishing trips run on 65-foot walk-around boats with air-conditioned cabins, microwaves, two bathrooms and sleeping accommodations for overnight runs. The crews specialize in bottom fishing and trolling.

Party Boat Trips

• 4 hours: $79 per person
• 6 hours: $99 per person
• 8 hours: $119 per person
• 10 hours: $135 per person

Trips are open to ages 7 and up and head 10 to 30 miles out depending on length; book a shorter trip if you’d rather stay closer in. Prices can change by season, day and schedule.

Semi-Private and Private Charters

Semi-private group charters carry fewer passengers for more space and quicker help from the crew: 6 hours $195, 8 hours $245, 10 hours $295 and 12 hours $325 per person. Overnight trips and fully private charters are booked by phone.

What You’ll Catch

The captain targets whatever is in season so you can keep your fish. Popular catches include grouper, red snapper, vermilion snapper, black and white snapper, scamp, triggerfish, mackerel, amberjack and sometimes sharks. Red snapper trips are scheduled during the season.

What’s Included

Bait, ice, tackle, rods, your fishing license and filleting your catch are all included. The crew works for tips, and 15 to 20% is customary.
