Sea Love Charters | St. Augustine Party Boat Fishing Since 1980
Sea Love Charters calls itself St. Augustine’s original party boat operation, and it has been fishing the offshore waters of Northeast Florida since 1980. For St. Augustine party boat fishing, its two boats sail from Cat’s Paw Marina and anchor up over artificial reefs, wrecks, live bottom and ledges in 60 to 100 feet of Atlantic water.
The Boats
The Sea Love II carries up to 60 passengers and the Sea Love III up to 30, and both have restrooms (there’s no air conditioning on either). The company intentionally sails below full capacity to avoid overcrowding. Spots at the stern are first come, first served.
Party Boat Trips
- Super Half Day (6 hours): 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM September through April, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM May through August. Fishes 10 to 15 miles out in 65 to 90 feet. $115 adults, $105 military, first responders and nurses, $90 children 6 to 14.
- Full Day (8 hours): 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM September through April, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM May through August. Fishes 15 to 25 miles out in 80 to 100 feet. $135 adults, $125 military, first responders and nurses, $110 children 6 to 14.
Reservations are required by 6:30 PM the day before, because each trip needs a minimum number of passengers. Optional trip protection lets you cancel for a full refund up to 4 PM the day before instead of 48 hours ahead.
Private Charters
Private charters run 4 to 12 hours. On the Sea Love III (up to 30 passengers) they range from $2,478 for 4 hours to $6,254 for 12 hours; on the Sea Love II (up to 61 passengers) from $5,546 to $10,620. Private rates already include crew gratuity, fish cleaning, rods, reels, bait, tackle and licenses. A 50% deposit is due at booking, and cancellations need two weeks’ notice for a full refund.
What You’ll Catch
Typical bottom fish include vermilion snapper, red snapper, gag grouper, triggerfish, black sea bass, amberjack, sharks and cobia. Pelagics like blackfin tuna, mahi-mahi, kingfish, wahoo and sailfish have also been caught. Legal fish are yours to keep, and the crew will help you land and measure them.
What’s Included
Open-boat tickets include rod, reel, tackle, bait and your fishing license for the day. Crew gratuity, optional fish cleaning, and food and drinks aren’t included. There’s no food or drink for sale on board or at the marina, so bring your own in a cooler; an iced fish box on the boat keeps your catch cold.
